Lake Toba - Parapat
Lake
Toba is the heart of Batak country, the largest lake in southeast
Asia with a surface area of about 1,145 sg. kilometers, and the
deepest lake in the world, over 450 meters deep. The town of Parapat
is the main tourist resort and lies on the shores of the lake.
The Batak Toba and Batak Simalungun peoples of Parapat are happy,
easy going people, known for their lively and sentimental love
songs. Recreational sports in Parapat include swinuning, water
skiing, motor boating, ca.noeing, fishing, and golf. The climate
is cool and dry, an ideal place to relax. There is a plethora
of hotels, bungalows, villas and guesthouses. Parapat is 176 km
From Medan and can be reached in 4 hours by bus.
Samosir
Island
The
island of Samosir, in the middle of Lake Toba, is accesible by
regular ferries from Parapat. The original home of the flerce
Toba Bataks, the island has many sites of stone tombs and traditional
villages. The villages of Tomok, Tuk-tuk, Siallagan and Ambarita
are noteworthy. Transportation can be arranged through your hotel
or rent a motorcycle for a day's adventure on the island. Accomodations
ofvarious styles and standards are readily available.

Upon arrival at Polonia airport, transfer to restaurant for lunch,
after lunch drive to Parapat via Tebingtinggi, on the way stop
at Pematang Siantar for shopping and arrival at Parapat check
in to hotel and dinner.
DAY 02.PARAPAT – SAMOSIR EXCURSION
After breakfast at hotel excursion on Lake Toba by ferry boat
and visiting several Batak toba traditional village:
Tomok : To see the old tomb of Sidabutar Kings.
Ambarita : To see stone chairs and table stone, the execution
place
Afternoon return back to Parapat .
DAY 03. PARAPAT – BRASTAGI (Danau Toba Cottage)
After breakfast drive to Brastagi via Simarjarunjung, on the way
visit Sipiso-piso waterfall, fruit market at Brastagi and afternoon
arrival check in to hotel and dinner.
DAY 04.BRASTAGI – MEDAN (Dharma Deli Htl)
After breakfast drive to Medan and arrival at Medan city tour
by visiting Sultan Palace, Great Mosque and shopping, afternoon
check in to hotel.
DAY 05.HOTEL – AIRPORT/ TRANSFER. B

Upon arrival at Tabing airport Padang, pick up by our guide and
then drive to Bukittinggi by passing Anay Valley, on the way stop
at Kiambang snd Pandai Sikat Village to see traditional hand carving
and weaving, arrival at Bukittinggi check in to Hotel.
DAY 02.BUKITTINGGI – BATUSANGKAR – BUKITTINGGI
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Batusangkar to visit the
old Palace of Minangkabau Kingdom at Pagaruyung, on the way stop
at Baso to see traditional embroidery and Tabek Patah for fantastic
view of rice terrace, after visiting Pagaruyung return to Bukittinggi
via Lake Singkarak and check in to Hotel.
DAY 03.BUKITTINGGI – PADANG
After brekfast city tour by visiting Sianok Grand canyon with
its Japanese tunnel, Fork de kock, Museum, Big Tower O’clock
“Jam Gadang” and market, after lunch proceed to Padang
via Maninjau Lake and arrival at Padang short city tour before
check in to Hotel.
DAY 04.HOTEL – AIRPORT / TRANSFER
